you know when someone who is a horrible singer is like, "do you know this song?" and tries to sing it to you? they try singing it over and over with the same tonedeaf tune, getting more aggrevated by the second because you don't get it...and you're just smiling like an idiot because you have no idea what they're singing but you don't want them to feel like a total idiot for doing an unnecessary song and dance routine for you?
well, that just happened to me by the elevator with some stranger.
after i got a little fed up i said: "oooooooooooooooh, that song."
he replies: "you have no idea what i'm singing, huh?"
me: "no. but it was nice to meet you."
