you know how there are horoscopes, zodiac signs, etc. all based on your birthday or your birth year? they tell you about your fortunes, your character traits, tendencies, etc. and you find yourself saying, uh huh, yup, sure.
so...say two people were born on the same day. does that mean those two people have the similar personality traits? if so, saujin yi = jennifer love hewitt and that bugs me.
on another note, i already started casting votes for american idols. sigh.

Chant With Me
so yesterday, i went to get a pedi at a burbank nail salon that hasmik has been going to for years. i walked in, introduced myself (as "sam"), and made some small talk with the vietnamese ladies who were attending to me. she asks me a ton of questions and i tell her that i'm a 26-year-old mba student...no, not married...no, no boyfriend...etc. etc. then, i'm not quite sure how the conversation turned, but for about the last 30 minutes, she told me about the miracles of her religion, how we can all heal ourselves, and something about chanting to lady buddha. when i was leaving, she ended up giving me a little buddha statue and a note with that chant that i should be doing from now on. well, i am still confused as to how my pedi turned out to be an evangelist session. the funnier thing is hasmik (aka "jasmine") says she just reads her magazines when she goes for a pedi. maybe i just look confused in life.
speaking of confused, why do i still suck at getting dressed up for events? there's one thing i miss about living in a sorority...the plethora of dresses in the house. for any formal, you can pretty much do a quick tour of the closets, and voila, you're ready to go. anyhoo, thank goodness for hasmik and kat, who are playing retirees and have a lot of free time on their hands right now, because without them, i probably would have gone to my black tie optional casino night (which was last night) in flip flops and jeans.

Reality Me!
yes, i admit that i like reality tv. i watch everything from project runway to celebrity poker showdown (i heart phil) to iron chef america. and one of my favorite "games" to play is to tell my friends what reality show i can see them on...
- tina on apprentice
- steph on apprentice martha stewart edition
- spoon on trading spaces
- yuj on american idol....HA!
- willets on any of those live-in-a-confined-house type of shows
- misty on fear factor or survivor...
and for some reason, most people say the same thing when it comes to me: amazing race. hmm, i guess they don't know about my sensitive tummy and how pepto was my best friend the time i was visiting kathy in beijing...
anyhoo, i only thought about reality tv because last night at busby's, there was this company videotaping potential candidates for reality tv television. i volunteered to get interviewed:
"what show would you like to be on?"
"amazing race! or apprentice. or any of those makeover-y things"
"why would you be a good candidate?"
"cause i'm entertaining. and um...fun. and um...outgoing. and i'll do well."
yes, i was just THAT charming. oh well, at least i got a pink tanktop that says: "admit it, you like to watch". i know you're jealous.
