sure some people think gambling is a sin. but everything is EXCESS is a sin. it's all about moderation, kids. this is the first year in a long long time that i don't have money on march madness. and you know what? no matter how much i enjoy the games, it's just not the same. putting something on the line...i think that's what makes being a sports fan so much fun...anyhoo, i've learned my lesson.
speaking of $, i just calculated a scary number. i spend about $5-6 / day on coffee. annually, that means i spend approximatley $2000. do you know how many kfc popcorn chicken i can get with $2000?!?!?!
okay, time to study. it's already finals week! (still not used to this quarter system...)

Delete Please
i wish there was a delete function for unnecessary information in my brain...just to free up some space for information that is actually USEFUL.
for example: home phone numbers of my high school friends...especially the ones who have MOVED and the numbers are obsolete.
example 2: birthdays. like yesterday, i saw the date and thought, oh, it's christina wang's bday. i mean, why do i need to recall a bday of a friend i haven't talked to since high school???
side note: on my commute this morning, i pulled up to a car that had a little girl, like a first grader, on her laptop in the backseat. i felt kind of old. then i remembered it was my little sister's birthday...and she's 24 today! lil yuj is 24!!!! i felt really really old.
happy b yuj.

Fashion - Mama Yi Style
i'm watching the oscars with my mom right now. i said, "how pretty" to a dress someone was wearing. and she says, "no, the dress is ugly. the girl is pretty. if you put a rag on that girl, you can be a famous designer too."
other comments from mama yi thus far:
“she has a weird accent”
“her boobs are so not real”
“do you know that they have to remove fake boobs before cremation because they pop? i saw that on crossing jordan”

Status Report
so i was hoping to have some fantabulously interesting thing to talk about...but i don't really have anything. so, flash back to hs journalism, "my random thoughts":
- on cold days, i love doing laundry and putting on the clothes that come out of the dryer.
- on wed, like a good catholic that i am, went to ash wed mass on campus....except, it was the weirdest thing ever. it was out on the lawn and it was with a bunch of christian groups, not just the catholic one. a WOMAN pastor gave the homily and another lutheran guy was all weirded out because he said: "may the lord be with you" and we, like little trained puppies that we are, said: "and also with you." he wasn't sure how to respond and said, "thank you."
- the japanese guy in my study group was really weirded out by the ash on my forehead.
- guys who can sing are so hot.
- speaking of singing, i like elliot on american idol. weird looking but great singer.
- i think santino may win project runway. boo.
- i busted up my knee playing bball for the first time in a long time. i think it's big g's way of telling me to be old.
